AMBASSADOR EXTRAORDINARY AND PLENIPOTENTIARY OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDIA IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION VISITED SNEZHNOYE OILFIELD OF IMPERIAL ENERGY AS PART OF HIS OFFICIAL VISIT TO TOMSK

On May 18, a delegation headed by HE the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India in the Russian Federation, Mr. P.S. Raghavan visited Tomsk. Within the frame of his scheduled visit, Mr. Raghavan met the Governor of Tomsk Region, Sergey Zhvachkin. Various possibilities and prospects of collaboration between Tomsk and India in scientific and educational sphere, issues of interaction with Tomsk universities, in which students from India receive their education even now, as well as interaction Tomsk special economic zone, where numerous Tomsk companies are in constant contact with their Indian colleagues – these are just a few of the many topics discussed during the meeting.

Sergey Zhvachkin also gave a positive feedback on the performance of Imperial Energy Group in Tomsk region. The Governor highly appreciated the progress that the Group was able to achieve as a result of exploration and development activities in its oilfields. Good words were also said about the social projects that the Group is encorporating every year. In its turn, Mr. Raghavan extended his thanks to Mr. Zhvachkin for the continuous all-round support that the Administration of the Region gives to Imperial Energy Group.

 Indian delegation devoted an entire second day of its visit to Imperial Energy. The delegates visited Snezhnoye field, where the management of Imperial Energy gave them a detailed tour of the Group’s production equipment and processes, as well as a demonstration of Imperial’s ongoing drilling program for tight reservoirs. Mr. Raghavan highly appreciated the level of technical equipment at the field of Imperial Energy, as well as professionalism of its employees. He wished success to Imperial Energy Group in its hard efforts to conquer new geological depth!
